For zones 3-10 Purslane is very easy to direct sow. In spring, once your daytime temps stay in the 70's and your threat of frost has passed, loosen enriched garden soil down to a 6" depth. These seeds are very tiny so you can use the shaker method to spread them and cover with 1/4" of screened peat, or mix your seeds with 2 cups of peat and spread to avoid clumping. Do note that Purslane can spread very easily by self seeding and it's best to give them a designated area to grow.
