Up for sale is one pack of 50 Texas Plume "Summer Shimmer" Celosia flower seeds. These are multicolored pastel flowers ranging from peach to pink to yellow to orange. Perfect for the summer garden and very easy to direct seed. Flowers all summer and is one of the few flowers to prefer hot and humid summer heat.

Texas Plume is a variety of celosia that creates unusual flower heads in a much coarser format than feathery celosia like Plumosa Plume. Has a similar appearance to wheat, but in in the pastel colors described above.
Loosen enriched garden soil down to a 6" depth. When soil is consistently 70 degrees (for zone 6-7 usually June 1st) scatter seeds on surface and cover very lightly with sand, fine vermiculite, or screened peat as Celosia needs sunlight to germinate. Once they are about 2" tall thin to at least 6" spacing. We have also had luck transplanting stems at this height. You can also start these early in pots or trays and transplant in late spring.
