Up for sale is one pack of 50 "Torch" Red Mexican Sunflower seeds (Tithonia rotundifolia). Technically these in the aster family and not true sunflowers which are Helianthus. Creates 2-3" flowers in firery orange red in a tall shrublike wall of flowers.

Direct Sow - In spring, after your last frost, loosen enriched garden soil down to a 6" depth. When your temps are consistently in the 70's sow your seeds on the surface of your garden bed. Light enhances germination so lightly dust with fine peat.
Early in Pots - You can also sow these early in pots, but be aware that they grow very fast and it is recommended to start them about 4 weeks before your last frost in spring. Sow on the surface of your potting mix and lightly dust with fine sand or vermiculite and expose to light. Keep moist until germination.
